There are many ways you can obtain services from Community Living. You or your family member may even be eligible for funding.
Passport Funds
Passport funds are a form of direct funding that people with intellectual disabilities and their families may be eligible for, so they can obtain support services from providers like Community Living.
We don’t issue Passport Funds, but we can help you navigate the system, and get the services you or your family member need.
One of the services we offer is Administration of Passport Funds. We take care of all the paper work and we recoup directly from Passport so you don’t need to spend your own money up front. Contact a Community Living near you to learn more.

Uses of Passport Funds
Passport funding is available to adults 18 years or older who have an intellectual disability and their families. Passport funding can be used for the following services and supports:
- Community participation
- Activities of daily living
- Caregiver respite
- Person directed planning
- Administration of Passport
Goals of Passport
- Passport Services was created to:
- Foster independence
- Increase participation in community
- Promote social inclusion
- Support families and caregivers
- Help young people transition from school to university

Development Services Ontario (DSO) is the government agency responsible for Passport Funds. They will determine your eligibility and the availability of services in your area. To check your eligibility:

- Find your local DSO contact info
- Contact your local DSO
- DSO will confirm your eligibility
- Your local Passport agency will contact you regarding available services
