Respite Services
Respite Services provides a period of rest and support to families. Services are available to both adults and children. We also offer various training opportunities to Respite Providers and parents.
www.respiteservices.com is an online resource which has been developed to allow parents the opportunity to search for fully-screened caregivers who meet their needs. The site also lists various training workshops in which people can participate. We encourage all families to input their information on this website even if they do not currently require a respite provider. Likewise, respite providers searching for more employment opportunities are encouraged to place their information on this website.
Children’s Respite Coordination
The Children’s Respite Program currently serves 26 children with physical and/or developmental disabilities. People who access this service spend one-on-one social time with a Respite Provider, chosen by the family with our assistance, if required.
Children’s Respite also offers fun activities to children on school holidays and P.A. days throughout the school year.
Adult Respite Coordination
The Adult Respite Program currently provides service to 17 people. The program holds social activities from time to time, such as dinners, dances and movies.
